Individuals selected will become part of our unique club that provides its players with every opportunity to become a special athlete through our Team Development Program (TDP).
The Team Development Program consists of two phases, the Youth Phase (U8 to U14), and the Senior Phase (U15 to U18). In the Youth Phase our teams focus on Individual Skill Development, Tactical Awareness, and Character Development. In the Senior Phase our teams focus on Advanced Tactical Awareness, Physical Power, and Mental Toughness.
Our teams are comprised of serious soccer players that consider soccer their number one sport. All players share the same passion for the game. Our teams enjoy a true club atmosphere where the entire club works together. Development and improvement are the number one priority.
All youth Medford Strikers teams compete in high level local and regional leagues, tier A tournaments, and the State Cup. All senior Medford Strikers teams compete in high level regional leagues, the State Cup, and college showcase tournaments. The showcase tournaments offer our players the exposure needed to be recruited by colleges they seek to attend. Almost all of our players end up playing at the collegiate level, or professionally.
Our club is trained and coached by Technical Director James Galanis and his accomplished staff from the Universal Soccer Academy. James is the creator of our Team Development Program, and he has consistently produced nationally ranked teams, as well as Olympic Developmental Players.
James Galanis is considered one of the leading soccer trainers in the entire USA. His innovative style and unique methodologies have produced true world class players. James’s stable of students includes Olympic Gold Medalists Carli Lloyd, Heather Mitts, Tina Ellertson and Hope Solo (USA Women’s National Team). He has developed National team players Kia McNeil (USA U-23 National Team), Amber Brooks at UNC and the U-20 Women’s National Team, and Ryan Finley, at Duke and the U-20 Men’s National Team. James has developed a large number of Regional and State Olympic Developmental Players, and has coached hundreds of players that have gone on to play collegiate level soccer, in many cases on scholastic awards.
The Medford Strikers Soccer Club is a non-profit organization that conducts itself as a professional soccer club. The goal of the club is to continue to be a premier producer of elite soccer players in NJ, and to provide our members the opportunity to excel in life after soccer. This program already has a rich history of developing players that have played at the highest level. We are seeking individuals that aspire to play at the top, and would like to reach their full potential.
